Samsung Galaxy SIV – What We Can Expect

Samsung Galaxy S4There’s little to argue with the fact that the Samsung Galaxy SIII was arguably the best phone of 2012. In fact, it is very much likely that the Galaxy SIII was the undisputed best, but for reason of not sparking an argument, we’ll go with the diplomatic view that it was ‘amongst the best’.

Nonetheless, the Galaxy SIII was seen as such a success that its successor will undoubtedly be immensely anticipated over the coming months. Already we’ve heard of rumours of the SIV and have received leaked photos of what it’ll look like. Here’s what we can expect from the Samsung Galaxy SIV.

Screen

The Galaxy SIV is expected to sport a 4.99-inch, 1080p Full HD screen. With a fantastic 440 pixels-per-inch image density, the Super AMOLED screen will be better and slightly bigger than that of its predecessor.

It has also been hinted that the new display will help improve battery life, with it hosting 25 percent improved power saving in comparison to past AMOLED screens. However, the increased size and pixel density of the screen could work against attempts for improved power saving.

Design

While we believe the SIV will be slightly bigger than the SIII, there is little other hint to how the highly anticipated smartphone will look like. According to rumours the phone will boast an elongated Galaxy SIII type design, however further talk has suggested that the traditional physical home button will be omitted.

It seems as if we won’t know what the phone will look like until it’s launched. What is clear is that reports of a flexible and bendable screen are rubbish, as these are far too expensive and hard to produce for such an expectedly high-yielding market.

The Geeky Tech Stuff

It is expected that the Galaxy SIV will come packed with a powerful 2GHz Exynos 5450 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone’s operating system is expected to be Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie.

Camera

The Galaxy SIV is expected to boast a mouth-watering 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera, plus a 2-megapixel camera on its front.

Release Date

Samsung’s next Galaxy S is anticipated to be so good that even the most hardened Apple heads will look to recycle iPhone mobiles and sell iPad tablets in order to save up for the Galaxy SIV. It is expected to be released this April.

Whatever you’re expecting the phone to include, you can be sure it’ll be a beast of a mobile phone and up there with the best this year. In the meantime, there’s still time to enjoy the Samsung Galaxy SIII, for those who are unfortunate enough to have not done so already!
